Engel Companies began operations in 1952, representing in Chile some strategic business units of E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Co. Inc. (Wilmington, DE).
Since 1979, it has been dedicated to the import and sale of raw materials, equipment and services for the plastics, food, telecommunications, pharmaceutical, oil, confectionery, construction, detergents, fishing, natural gas distribution, packaging, paint, paper, mining, personal care products, refrigeration, rubber, cable TV and textile industries, among others.
Since 1982, Comercial F.H.Engel S.A. has been dedicated to the import and sale of consumer products to supermarkets, wholesalers, restaurants, department stores, liquor stores and service stations, among others. It brings the best brands and products from around the world to Chilean homes, being present on every occasion of consumption.
The company operates with 2 distribution centers from the city of Santiago, distributing products from Arica to Puerto Montt since 1998. It has a refrigeration capacity of 40,000 cubic meters and several warehouses for dry, refrigerated and frozen products, which allows it to provide a comprehensive service to its customers.
The Foundation for Art and Culture, a non-profit institution, was created in 2017 by the Engel Family with the aim of promoting art and culture.
